hi,
can u help with cp -n Command, thx.
the thing is iam trying to check if in (dir2) dir2/dir1/abc1.txt the abc1.txt is exist in dir2/ and then copy if isnt exist and echo file(abc1) is exist coudnt copy…

abc1 could be named anything

Check out the tutorials i made for wildcards and wildcard character classes. They explain how to do this. If you want to copy all of the files in a directory use * wildcard.
cp * destination_directory That will copy everything.

very good tut! quick one for you, if i would like to copy multiple files lets say…file1, file2,….file40,file41 from 1 directory to another, how can i do it without typing cp file1 file2..etc ?
