Hi all my first Xtreme Linux Computing where I use the oldest PC i can lay my hands on and try and do the just plain silly.

Had to comment twice Steve. One of your best videos yet. Roll on that series 🙂 BTW, my wife running pepper 6 on a 2004/5 T42, 2g RAM, and all is good…

I think it's important to remember that the desktop is a niche now. Most people just use a smartphone or cheap tablet. And most of those people don't even know what a OS is. Even third world countries would take a 3 year old iphone over a i7 and 16 gig ram.

For us enthusiast it is so much fun to take a old p.c. that has been forgotten and slap Linux on it and bring it back. Fun Times.

Now this actually IS a good demo of how Linux is on low end hardware. 2G RAM all in with an old cpu is where your focus should be Steve. And it REALLY does go well..! 🙂

I'm running Pep 9 on my old Vista era HP Pavilion desktop which is single core with 2GB ram, runs beautifully and is used as a daily driver. Also running 9 on a Vista era Toshiba laptop with Pentium dual core cpu and 1.3 GB ram, runs quickly and smooth, was unusable with Vista. Gotta love Pep 8 and 9!

My Specs and Pep is running nicely! So far I'm one happy camper.

I'm always amazed at how many people in your chat that bother to make comments regarding the performance of the hardware you happen to be using, have very limited understanding of it, and its limitations.

Hey, EB, what would ya say to me adding MEE6 to the EB Discord?
Some of the things it can do:
– Announce when you upload videos / stream
– Temporary Bans, Bans, Kicks
– Instantly Delete X Messages in case of emergency (!clear [number])
– More great features.
